Dr Elsje Jordaan (PhD in SPORTSCIENCE)

Elsje-Blou-2010was the Captain of the PROTEA  NETBALL TEAM for 13 tests and led her team during the World Cup held in 2003 in Jamaica.  She represented South Africa in 48 tests and played 88 international matches for her country.  She was also the captain of Gauteng North and the Thunderbirds who was crowned the National Netball League Champions, 3-years in a row.

Elsje studied and worked at the VICTORIAN INSTITUTE of SPORT (VIS) in Melbourne and played under the leadership of Joyce Brown, the coach of 3 Australian World Cup Netball Champion teams. 

Elsje started her own Sports Consultancy Practice called SPORTISIMO.  Since 2003 SPORTISIMO are hosting numerous netball courses and thousand of netball players and coaches has gained and learned from these experiences.  Elsje was involved in the speed and agility coaching programme of the Rugby Springboks in November 2006, as well as the first rugby team of the University of Johannesburg in 2007. 

She was the head coach of Eastern Gauteng Netball from 2006 - 2010.  She was awarded her doctoral thesis by the University of Pretoria in 2007.  NETBALL SOUTH AFRICA commissioned Elsje to join them on their tour to the Netball World Championships in New Zealand in November 2007, as team analyst and conditioning coach.  In July of 2009 Elsje was the coach of the South African Universities Netball team who won a gold medal at the CUCSA Games in Malawi and also won a bronze medal as the coach of the Eastern Gauteng under 21 team at the 2008 National Tournament.  In 2009 Elsje’s Gauteng East, under 21 team were crowned the National Champions during the National Championships held in Mafikeng.  During 2009 – 2011 Elsje was the head of the University of Johannesburg Netball Programme and responsible for their high performance players’ conditioning.  In 2011 the team won the bronze medal at the University tournament held in Potchefstroom. 
                                                                                                                                                                                  
In 2011 Sportisimo started the very exciting and first semi-professional competition in South Africa, called the Netball Grand Series.  Elsje was appointed the coach of the Starlight Jets team and they ended 3rd in the inaugural season of this competition.

Minnette Dempsey (MPhil Leadership)

Minnette_FotoMinnette was a part time lecturer at the University of Johannesburg in the Faculty of Management in the field of PERSONAL, INTERPERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP.  She completed the Masters degree in LEADERSHIP (Cum Laude) in 2001 and was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for most outstanding Masters student in the Faculty. 

Minnette was previously involved in teaching for a period of 13 years.  She was HOD : Guidance and Leadership     Development at Dr E G Jansen High School. 

She currrently works as a corporate FACILITATOR and presents training to companies such as Anglo Platinum, Standard Bank, Goldfields, Harmony etc. She has also developed programmes for schools focusing on the management team of a school, the staff as a unit, parents, etc.

She also provides sports specific psychological conditioning and mental preparation for athletes and teams. She was a service provider for the Sports bureau of the University of Johannesburg from 2008-2010 and is for the past 8 years a full service provider for SPORTISIMO and for the company, LEADERSHIP THE EPL WAY.  Minnette recently co-hosted a series of talks on RSG Radio Station for the program KOPSKUIF about Personal Leadership.

Minnette is involved with the leadership programmes of a number of schools where she provides the latest and most recent research and dynamics of leadership development.  These programmes are unique and custom designed based on the needs of the schools and the dynamics of the individuals.

She also acts as a guest speaker at a variety of functions and seminars.
